Didn't have time to do much today, aside from writing this and checking Fedi notifications with my scripts as I had a family event thing happening. I also had a message come in on Discord that I had to reply to today, so I cheated a bit by doing that on my phone.
The week has been fairly fun, but I didn't achieve any of the "Make Something" aims I had at the start of the week as I didn't make any music or learn more about SunVox. I did, however, program more scripts for accessing Fedi, so that sort-of counts (though I could have done that on the older and lower-spec machine I've used in previous years). I wish I'd had more time and motivation to actually get to doing what I had planned, but it didn't happen.
It's been good to have the emailed digest the past couple of days to see what others have been working on too. Some people have made some awesome things - I covered a few earlier, but to those I want to add the following:
A DOS Wordle clone written in Turbo Pascal
Uxn Varvara for Apple Macintosh 68k machines
A game in Awk and a DOS build of AwkA to play it on
A Home-Made Cartoon Network on a 20 Year Old Computer
(As-Yet Unfinished) Conway's Game of Life for the GameBoy Advance
I was also interested to see a fellow chalengee using a similar machine:
I'm writing this while England are playing in the World Cup (I'm not into football myself) and, from the sounds coming in through the windows from up and down the street, it sounds like England just scored (twice?). I guess I'll find out on the radio news in the morning...
